Marco Vannucci is an Computer Scientist working at Percro since 2002.
He got the master degree in computer science in 2001 from Pisa University and the Ph.D. in engineering from Scuola Superiore S.Anna in 2006. His research activity includes mathematical modelling, artificial intelligence and robotics. He collaborated in several research project focusing his interest in the expoloitation of soft computing techniques in the industrial framework.

Silvia Cateni is a Telecomunication Engineer working at Percro since 2005. She got the master degree in Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Pisa in 2005. Her research activity includes data analysis through standard statistical analysis and artificial intelligence techniques. She is involved in several research project related to the analysis of industrial databases for knowledge extraction and process control.

Teresa Annunziata Branca works at Percro since 2002.
She has had several experiences as a consultant for steel industry. Her research activity deals with statistical analysis of industrial data, the assessment of environmental impacts associated with steelmaking processes as well as the sustainability of the steel industry.

Fornai Barbara is an Economist and she works at Percro since 2004. She received a Master degree from the University of Pisa, Faculty of Economics. Her current research activity at Percro concerns economical issues related to the field of the steelmaking industries. Her activity is focused on the development of the methodology of the economic KPI, long term costs projections and data analysis.

Nicola Matarese got the degree in computer science in 2007 from Pisa University and since then work at Percro.
The research activity includes advanced mathematical and statistical modelling, artificial intelligence, advanced data mining techniques and data warehousing modelling. He takes part in several research projects on the steel industry.

Alessandro Amato is an Economist and he works at Percro since 2006.
He received a Master degree from L.U.I.S.S. – Guido Carli of Rome, Faculty of Economics in 2001 and a Master in Environmental Management and Control from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in 2006. His current research activity at Percro concerns economical and energetic issues related to the field of the steelmaking industries. Her activity was focused on the development of the methodology of the economic KPI, long term market projections about the raw materials and data analysis. At the moment he is investigating aspects related to holistic energy balances and CO2-monitoring system.

She received a Master Degree in Mathematics from the University of Pisa in 2009. Her research concerns Computer Vision and the development of mathematical models, focused on industrial issues.

Gianluca Nastasi is a Computer Engineer working at Percro since 2002.
He got a master degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Pisa in 2008. His research activity includes data analysis through standard statistical analysis and artificial intelligence techniques and software implementation of intelligent systems. He is involved in several research project related to the analysis of industrial databases for knowledge extraction and process control. His research activity is currently focused on Multi-Objective Optimization by means of Genetic Algorithms.

Giacomo Filippo Porzio is a PhD student at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Perceptual Robotics.
He received a MSc in Process Systems Engineering (Energy Systems and Themal Processes), from Cranfield University, UK, and a Master Degree in Energy Engineering from Florence University in 2009. Since January 2010 he worked at PERCRO. His research activity concerns Holistic Modelling (mathematical and flowsheeting) and Multi-Objective Optimization, focusing on Industrial Processes energy consumption reduction and CO2 mitigation.

Gianfranco Lovicu

Gianfranco Lovicu is a metallurgist working at PERCRO since 2011.
He got the master degree in Physics in 2001 from Pisa University and the Ph.D. in Materials Science from Pisa University in 2005. His research activity mainly includes hydrogen degradation of steels and hydrogen control in steelmaking plants.
